After his death, three unpublished and at least two unfinished manuscripts were found among Michael Crichton's belongings. They were published posthumously, the latter two completed by renowned authors Richard Preston (Micro) and James Patterson (Eruption). A Murder in Hollywood was released as the 9th John Lange novel, as it was meant to be published under this pseudonym back in th 1970s.
